I'm leaning towards UCI, but which one is the right choice depending on cost, environment, people, etc...

UCI is a much better school. They are both commuter schools, but SJSU is much more so, with at least 50% of the students commuting. There are less activities on campus as a result. UCI costs a little more, but is a much better school academically. SJSU is a pretty good school, but it has a terrible infrastructure. Many, many students have lost their classes because of accounting errors, and had to reenroll in often waitlisted classes. Also, as of 2004 the Computer Science classes were requiring programs to be submitted only on floppy disks, which had been obsoleted for some years before by CDs, let alone email attachments. UCI, on the other hand, is just as smooth running as any other UC.
