I LOVE THIS QUESTION (sorry) I work in a secondhand bookstore, and there is a dark, sort of scary place in the back of the store, and we put extra copies of books back there..well one day my friend E. says, "Hey! Come back here a minute! I wanna show you something." So I did, and he said, "Scream as loud as you can!" and I thought he was crazy, and said, "But the hair salon above us might hear, and think something is wrong, and call the police!" and he said, "No, this is totally soundproofed!" and then he screamed as loud as he could, and we were laughing our heads off, and just as he said, no one heard him. So he says, "Come on, you can do it!" (Luckily the store was closed!) So, I screamed as loud as I could, and it made me feel GREAT! All the tensions of the day were washed away, and it's now my *therapy* room. Or I call it my "Primal Scream Room" So, when the store closes, and I'm all to myself, and I've had a bad day, I go back there, and scream my lungs out! I know it sounds crazy, (it probably is but I don't care) but I'm so happy E. told me about this! It makes me feel terrific!

I scream too when I have a lot of pressure but I think that it does not solve my problems. Actually I read that screaming sometimes is bad for your organs such as your liver and heart. But I think it really depends on how you felt when you scream. If you felt a lot of bad emotions than screaming does not help. I think you would need to learn to calm down. Only when you have inner peace with yourself can you feel better and do things more effectively.
Suggestions: 1. listen to quiet instrumental music or music of nature or just positive music you like.
2. Talk to a friend or just talk to yourself and figure things out logically and calmly. Like in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie when Jack Sparrow talked to himself, boy is he intelligent.
3. Read. It can be anything. I like to go read Yahoo web's stuff on astronomy, because our universe is so beautiful , vast and tranquil.
4. Think of your dream. Where there is a will there is a way. We all have dreams, we all come across problems and difficulties, think of these as opportunities to make yourself a stronger and better person.

After messing up an important project at work, I waited until I drove out of the parking lot before I just cut loose and screamed the F bomb over and over.
I made me feel much better, then a little foolish for having to do it.

It definitely does. Atleast for that moment. Venting is always good.
My last time was in january.
I was in need of crying my heart out and i wanted to shout out like mad. But i was at home and everyone was around. I share my room with my sister. And for the kind of shouting i wanted to do, home wasnt the right place at all, would have scared the crap out of everyone at home.
Almost for 2 weeks, i was driving out of the house earlier in nights, park at a lonely place, (not turning the engiene off) and shouted my lungs out from in side my car. Well, it did feel like a relief. Many times i had shouted from in side my car while driving in the streets too, hoping no one heard it from out side.
Well, its always good to let it out shouting.

I scream to make myself feel better or because I just need to scream because I'm stressed and I need to let it loose.

The other day when I woke up and picked up my shorts to put on and there was a big black spider on them. It made me feel good when I squished it.
