The suns have been to the nba finals the last couple years but they have gotten a little unlucky.The suns now have stat and not that bad of a defense.They shut down kobe even though he had 39 but in the 2nd hafe he tried to take over but couldnt because of DEFENSE

I'm sorry, I must of missed something,...When was the last time the Suns made it to the Finals??

Not since Charles Barkley played for them, they are over rated because they can't get to the big game, let alone win it!!!!

I don't think they're underestimated, in fact I think they're given too much credit. They don't play defense, and when they're faced with a strong defense(like today against the inconsistent Lakers), they become just a mediocre team. If the Suns manage to get past the Lakers, then they'll be taken down by the Spurs. Sure the Suns have Amare, but he's no Duncan or Shaq. He can only take over when he gets a good pass; you isolate him and he plays nothing like the All-Star he is. Aside from Marion and Bell, none of the Suns play defense. And to further discount the Stoudamire factor, look at their last game against the Spurs. Duncan outplayed him completely on both sides of the floor. So no offense to Suns' fans, but until they learn to play better defensively, there won't be a Finals trip,much less a championship.

you got your facts wrong buddy...they've not made it to the nba finals in 13 years.
Talk about luck...how bout the fact that all the other teams don't have their pieces of the puzzle? Unlucky?
Deal with it! YEa your damn defense won the game right? puahaha....the other lakers were not making plays and all they did was juss dribble the clock down and pass the ball to kobe in the last second with 3 guys draped on him...talk about a supporting cast.
You know the lakers can beat you suns!!! They've done it before and they can do it again. For major stretches of the game, they had shackles on the suns...so you know they are beatable by the "unlucky" lakers who have several players still recovering from their injuries

All you Laker fans can talk all the BS you want. The Suns won today they will win the series and you cry baby Faker fans will shut up til next season. Anybody that underestimates the Suns are just mad cause the Suns are to busy beating there team! Ha Ha

They underestimate their DEFENSE not OFFENSE. Everyone knows that the Suns can score points, but they don't see them playing defense, which is not true at all. They Suns can slow down the pace and play some defense, especially with Kurt Thomas healthy. With him healthy, he will see lots of playing time vs. the Spurs because of his post defense. The Suns did not have him last year, making their defense the least priority.
