Since you didn't say what brand model etc the best I can do is tell you MAYBE.

Some routers are setup to allow you to set them into this mode. It is called BRIDGE mode in most cases. Some even allow wirless repeating etc. All depends on who built it and what software they use within the router.

Certain wireless routers can recieve wireless signals as a Wireless Client Bridge. So it can receive a wireless signal and share that wireless signal with the LAN ports. So if you have a PS2, XBox, and XBox360, you dont' have to get separate game adapters for all. You can have them all share a router.

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe that in order to recieve wireless internet, you may need a wireless network card.
