These keys are illegals and will just rob you blind; get rid of them! LOL, sorry, I couldn't help it.

Keyboards these days use two strips of metal, when you hit the key it bends the metal, eventually metal fatigue happens. Since your two keys are next to each other I'm guessing that you have a problem with some foreign object, like pop, getting in there. Most key problems on this type of keyboard will result in replacing it. It may have a loose connection or an oxidized connection but if your not familiar with taking your computer apart, let a shop check it out. Keyboards are a little like watches, they look easy to work on but are usually full of pitfalls. Approach with caution.

Good Luck

Can't think of any reason why those two keys wouldn't work. Sounds like a hardware problem. How old is the PC? Try blowing under those two keys with canned air. Maybe there's something stuck in between them.

You may need to clean the keyboard. Try getting a can of cleaning air and blow out around the keys. If this does not work, you may need to have the laptop serviced. In the meantime, you can connect a USB keyboard to use in place of the attached one.

Dust, Dirt, water, etc.. could made the inner rubber lining on the button stick therefore not working.
Also water, humidity can short the board.

Usually, compressed air and removal of the buttons with a butter knive can let you clean the inner area.

If this is the only problem you have, it may just be a faulty keyboard. I hope your laptop is still under warranty. Contact the seller ASAP.

perhaps too many crumbs under the keys...use a can of air and a soft toothbrush to clean them

Try updating the keyboard driver... but if that doesn't work its probably the keyboard.
