Ask him about it with a compassionate attitude. Try to compose yourself and try not to break down in front of him. He may be too afraid to break up, or he may not be feeling loved in the relationship.
How long have you been together? Are you officially a couple? If you are just dating, forget about him. If it's a long term relationship, confront him.
A relationship isn't supposed to have secrets, especially of this sort. You should never be afraid to talk to your partner about this kind of stuff. It's all in how you approach the situation. Do not shove it in his face and accuse him of things, but rather ask him if there's anything bothering him about your relationship and tell him about your discovery. Ask him if there's anything you can do to repair the situation. If you don't like his answer, or you cannot compromise or do this, then tell him he's lost something good, and strut out of the place. Tell him good luck with his escapades.
If it really is he who posted the ad, I'd strongly suggest talking to him about it and trying to see if you can talk it out. If the talk doesn't go well, or you don't think you could trust him at all after seeing this/ knowing about it, then I'd say the best thing you can do for yourself is to break up with him. I definitely think this will be painful, but it will feel better for you in the long run to do it to him than find him with someone else before you do.
If he has siblings and you saw the ad online, or if he has an ex whose out to get him, then those are other possibilities of what could have happened- sabatoge. Go with your guts, hon.
Revenge only hurts in the end.

You have a couple options.
1. Make your own personal ad on that site, complete with photo, and contact him through the site, "Just to say hi!" He will get the idea.
2. Print out the ad and leave it somewhere for him to see.
3. Confront him directly. Tell him calmly that you know he has a personal ad up, and ask why.

After looking at the other answers, I'm going to have to go with d) all the above !
Confront him by answering the ad & setting up a date using an alias (confrontation when you meet), immediately followed by the official break-up. Then get ya a brand new boyfriend.

If he's keeping it secret that says alot. He's probably looking for another woman (or possibly man) or some extra curricular fun. You or one of your friends should answer it and see what he says. I know it hurts but it's better to find out what kind of a person he is now rather than after you're stuck married to him. Good luck and remember there are decent guys out there who don't screw around. I know some people say all men cheat but I don't believe that.

If he's keeping it a secret, and you know about it, then he isn't a very good liar OR cheater. So maybe he's a keeper.
Love Jack
PS I'm gay, so let me answer for you. I'll freak him out.

This reminds me of the song "If You Like Pina Coladas" by Jimmy Buffet.
Anyway, dump him and find someone who knows just how wonderful you are and would never betray you in such a way.

I think it's all over, Mary Jane. Sorry. What you choose to do about it is up to you, but I suggest telling him bye-bye and moving on. Otherwise, you'll just be waiting for the axe to fall.

Ask him why he posted it and then get rid of him. you deserve someone who is only going to concentrate on you and not on everyone else...plus you do not want to always have to be wondering if he has personal ads all over the place and if he is actually seeing someone else...save yourself the headache and get rid of him.
