I don't, because I think those are lousy stereotypes. I think you should be yourself no matter what anybody says.

That pisses me off when people say that. How the hell can you be the "whitest black person" or the "blackest white guy"?

My signature, and has been for at least 7-8 years now, ---

"I am who I am, and will remain so."

Because whatever I am, do, think, or become,
is a part of WHO I AM,
Ex: I am a tom boy, but I know when to behave-
(notice I said BEHAVE not ACT) like a proper lady when the occasion arrises, I know where and when certian behaviors will be looked down upon, or made to make one feel uneasy, and I do my best to behave accordingly, so as not to offend, upset or anger anyone,,,,
there is a time and place for everything,

At my cousins wedding, the family in that area
more 'up-scale'-I am prim and proper, but not snooty,,,,
HOWEVER--on the flip side, when I am most comfy-
-is at a cook out with the buddies, we're grillin deer, drinkin beer, and me and my other female friends, are wearing
t-shirts, flannels & blue jeans and laughin, havin belch contests-due to beer-and swearin just like our men--
-in their little click, talking huntin, dogs, deer, cars, guns,or cross bow's-,,
you get what I am sayin'

The basic principal is the same,,,
You can end up being 3 or more people in one day,
different 'things' require-different 'things' from us-

'Stereo types' is just the governments way of being racist-STEREOTYPING didn't start with us,,,,
(and they think WE as a country have a problem with racism-it echoes through our government, DUH)

My cousin moved away to another town, and she came back talking like the people she lived around, I thought it was cute, I saw a whole different side to her,,,,,
but I found nothing wrong with it.
-I have friends of every color, creed, religion, and nationality, some of my closest friends are homo-sexuals-
I am not one to judge-believe me!!!!!

You be who you are, any time you try to change who you are to match society at a 'standard'--you've lost yourself,
and if 'you' like 'you', then that is all that matters..................

This may have been more than you asked for,
but I can turn almost anything into a thesis......lol.

Be yourself, that is who YOU are............
Good luck to YOU!!

Yeah...those are lousy stereotypes. I come from a multi-racial family and I think it's stupid that people expect others to act a certain way merely based on skin pigmentation!

I only want to be myself. When I was a teenager, I was sometimes unsure of myself and was often comparing myself to other girls. Not anymore! I am comfortable in my own skin, so to speak, finally.

I don't want to, nor do I, "act" anything. You asked if "I" can "act white" or ''act black" and the answer is a definite "NO". But if you were asking if anybody does, I do
think that others do try to imitate races other than themselves but it doesn't come through as genuine, to me.

the way a person talks has nothing to do with personality. accents and language are easily picked up. i agree that they are lousy stereotypes, as are all stereotypes, but i also agree that every race has special characteristics that are applied to them as being common in every specific race. not all black people talk a certain way, but a lot of them, (at least all that i have met) do talk in a certain way that is different from other races, especifically white people. things get called how they get seen. it is how it is.

No and I'm frustrated by how often people say things like that. It just perpetuates stereotypes.
When I was living in Hawaii, my friends used the phrase "banana" for a haolefied asian (as in white on the inside, yellow on the outside. haole is hawaiian slang for a white person).
And now, living in a Latina neighborhood, anytime I try to articulate myself I get called white-washed (well I am half Irish).

But what's worse is I feel like I have to change my accent. I'm half Mexican and half Irish. I grew up all over the world but I speak Spanish and have a brogue (weird combo eh?). When I'm with my Irish family I play up my Irish brogue. When I'm with my Latina friends and family I speak Spanglish. And of course, at work I speak with an American accent. I hate that about myself.

To be honest, to me, it would not make somewhat bit distinction. The act of expressing your love bodily, aka sexually is a superb element. gay, quickly or someplace in between, this is the sentiments a pair share for one yet another. i'm a thankfully married female with a spectacular husband. My fave aunt and her better half have been at the same time exceedingly much two decades now. the complication-loose ingredient is love, not seeing the project right here. I went to their wedding ceremony, they got here to mine, extra my little cousin who they have observed on the grounds that her rather quickly dad and mom would desire to not shield her. they're spectacular dad and mom. I helped beautify their automobile with the classic shaving cream and cans. They threw birdseed at my husband and that i while we left the reception. heavily, if a pair loves one yet another, then hell particular they might desire to be waiting to have intercourse in spite of orientation.

Thats so ignorant. anyway im myself and im not trying 2 act like any1 else!

I think you can act "black" or "white" but no matter how much you try, you cant change your ethnicity so you are better off just being yourself.

It may be a stereotype but it happens. Have you seen the white boys sagging their pants, wearing their hats sideways, wearing 5x size Ts, cranking out rap (with crappy sounding bass), speaking in ebonics? THEY ARE ACTING BLACK.
