his dad i guess is in the british military. his sister gets empregnated by some canadien air force guy. i can recall a scene where a german pilot is stranded and all the british people regard him with curiosity.

Hope and Glory (1987). Brilliant movie, great cricket scenes with Grandpa.

It wasn't Empire of the Sun that took place in the paciffic theatre of war...I don't remember the name of the movie, but I do remeber watching it and enjoying it.
