Does anyone know what is the thing that drops into the liquid and seperate the oil, into a yellow solid in the bottom?
Can we buy it publicly?

Can you give any more details? Where have you seen it used, or how did you find out about it?

At first glance, I don't know. There are various solid substances through which oil-water emulsions may be poured... and it filters out the oil. You might look up "oil solidification" or something similar on the 'net.

if the boiling point of the oil is higher than th ewater, you can just evaporate off the water.


if you put it into a separatory funnel, or this buret (for only a small amount of liquid, you can separate it with a buret.

Try SOAP solution--right now. I have seen it work.
