It was a frivilous question really..... to be precise, I suppose I could call myself Celtic but I prefer to believe that we are all citizens of the planet

I'm sorry, I didn't realise a sense of humour was an offense on this site - I certainly hope it is not!!!

The simple answer; No. Vikings were a culture that existed hundreds of years ago in the Nordic areas of Norway and Denmark. Today, such a culture no longer exists. It's like asking if Huns still exist.

To go Viking (like driving... if you go out driving, you are not called a "driving") was the action of viks (pirates, sort of)- an option of occupation in scandinavia long ago.
My scandinavian history professor at the Uni of Aberdeen would be very upset with you for even phrasing your question that way. And yet, I suppose your answer is "no." Sort of.

If you belive in Vikings then there out there not sure about longboats and Broadswords in the driveway but you never know

Viking is not a people. Norsemen went a Viking. To go viking is to go raiding up the rivers and lakes of Briton and Eire. It was first used by Anglo-Saxons.
