but it would only allow you to see one minute of your life twenty years from now and i let you look into and you saw yourself twenty years older sitting on your living room sofa watching ice hockey on tv, wearing a hockey jersey and nhl cap, surrounded by nhl penants and posters, with a huge stack of hockey trivia books and magazines sitting on your coffee table, while you drink from an nhl mug looking the happiest you have ever been in your life. and all of this was rather shocking to you because at the present moment you despise the sport of ice hockey but now know in the future it will inevitably become your favorite thing ever. now knowing your nhl loving future, the next evening you flip past the stanley cup opening match on tv, do you force yourself to watch it even though you despise it?

It's unlikely time travel in an einstein-ian sense is possible - it is a fact that astronauts are a tiny fraction of a second younger than they would be, if they had stayed on earth [because of the speed they travelled, not simply because they left the earth] There is a huge problem with time travel - a problem not usually dealt with, in sci-f stories - the earth is moving it rotates - at 1000 miles per hour at the equator it rotates around the sun the whole solar system rotates around the galactic centre at a phenomenal speed so. if you could go back in time about 1 second, chances are you would be a couple miles above the surface of the earth, which would be very interesting...... for the short time it took gravity to return you to the surface

No. I'd figure that my future love for hockey must be due to some incredible experience that has yet to come.

"Would I force myself to watch hockey even though I despised it", you asked.

With all due respect, h3LL no. And who is to say that your little "peek into the future" was the correct plane of existance anyway. I believe that there are multiple worlds, layers, and planes of existence.

Thanks anyway.

Nope. It's street fighting with a minor in soccer with a stick. And they locked out for a whole season! Greedy street rats.
