It's amazing to see how many un-informed people there are out there...
Still trying to bash Bush. No real facts to back anything up, just a bunch of liberal tree-hugging anti-war bologna, but it sure is funny to bash isn't it?
I thought the liberal granola eaters were supposed to be the compassionate ones... I thought you guys were supposed to be the intelectuals? I thought you wanted to save the planet?
Well, if you really want peace. Not for political reasons, not because it's funny to bash Bush in a blog, but seriously for a minute- if you really- really want peace... consider this:
1) We were attacked by extremist Islamist on a regular basis going back to the 1970's- and beyond. They attacked us when a Republican was in office, they attached us when a Democrat was in office. They attacked us when we had military interests in the middle east, and when we didn't. Go check you facts, and no matter who you read or watch- whether the story is slanted left or right- you will find that this certain group of people wants us dead. Period. It does not matter what you say or what you do. It does not matter if you are a liberal or a repub. You and I are infidels and must die. Now, since we have invaded Iraq (where liberals like to point out had nothing to do with 9/11 or terrorism) how many US holdings or interests outside of Iraq have been attacked? NONE! That's kind of funny that the terrorism stopped AFTER we went into Iraq, but nothing we did before the invasion stopped them- as a matter of fact, before the invasion- their attacks got stronger and stronger leading into the worst attack of all, 9/11. Yet Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism? Come on people, this isn't that hard to figure out...
2) The war aside, lets look at some other strange goings-on while Bush has been the president. The DOW is at a record high. The resession that started during the Clinton era is gone, the stock market is going nuts, more people own homes than ever before (per capita and in actual numbers), the unemployment numbers are some of the lowest ever- and there is virtually no inflation... Geeze- the economics of this administration really suck! Again, I don't care which side of the fence you reside- the numbers do not lie... This economy is one of the strongest ever- by any nation, in any era...
3) "The Pursuit of Happiness". I just saw this movie about a week ago. If you haven't seen this movie- you should. This poor bastard had nothing but hope, and turned into a millionaire. That is America. That is the dream. The time you waste being negative and bashing everything is time wasted on your path to the dream. Think about it. Our health care system is not perfect, but it is one of the best in the world. Our court system is not perfect, but it is one of the best in the world. Our way of government, the republic, is not perfect- but it IS the best in the world. Never in the history of the planet have so many had so much for so long for so little. Never has a country given of its wealth the way the US does. Not only do our people benefit from our greatness, but so does the rest of the world. If we stopped all of the foreign aid the US provides (under Bush, by the way) the world would colapse. You live here. You benefit from our greatness just by being lucky enough to be born here. Take the advantages you've been given and go do something.
4) Freedom. Freedom, as you've heard, isn't free. We cannot sit here in our comfy chairs and ignore the rest of the world. We need a strong military. We had a strong military under Reagan and look what happened- the USSR fell, the Berlin wall fell, the communist threats from all over the world disappeared... Clinton, in typical liberal fashion dismantled much of the military because he felt it was a waste of tax dollars. Now we are in Iraq and Afganistan. The military is stretched pretty thin. Iran knows this. No. Korea knows this. Venesuela knows this, Syria knows this, the African warlords know this, and the Mexican drug cartels know this. It's the school yard bully mentality. The bully can smell weakness and goes after it- it's human nature. A criminal, a bully, and/ or a dictator think the same way. If they find weakness- they will exploit it, if they find strength...
You want to support the troops by bringing them home? Then why don't we bring all the cops home too? And the firemen- they have a dangerous job too...
Let's talk to Iran about nukes. They will have them sooner than later which will make the conversation more interesting anyway...
Come on... If you really are concerned about the number of dead people- get behind MADD. More people die from drunk driving every year than the war, and we all can agree that drunk driving is bad, right?

With Bush, anything is possible, his arrogance has cost this country more than just innocent lives, it has cost us strength. We do not have the power we used to have, we are not the stable nation as we once were. If we were as strong as we used to be, 9/11 would never have happened, and because this nations guard was allowed to be let down because our leader thought "everyone is our friend", look what happened. Even after what happened on 9/11, he still allows illegal immigrants into this country, isn't that how 9/11 was allowed to happen? If he's not careful, the next war he starts may be right here at home with us citizens fighting against all the illegals just to keep what we have earned, OUR FREEDOM at home. He needs to step in and either make these people become citizens or get out. Especially after the 9/11 attacks, you would have thought he would be more careful about who is being let into this country. He is well aware that there are over 1 million illegal immigrants living on U.S. soil, and how sure is he that they are not here to plot against us once again? If our borders were as secure as he is trying to tell us, then over 1 million people would NOT be in this country illegally. If something doesn't start here at home, which I hope it doesn't, I'm sure he'll stick our nose into Iran next and before he's done, he'll have us at war with everyone in the Middle East.

I don't predict any more wars will be started by Bush, unless Iran or North Korea strikes at the US.
However, Once the next president is elected to take over the office of President, George Bush will become a Lame Duck.
Lame Duck Presidents generally don't make any major decisions, especially decisions that would require hard work.
HOWEVER, George Bush has shown over time that his only agenda for being President was to Profit from War. His family, the Bush Family, are major players in the oil industry. Even his Sec. of State, Condoleezza Rice, was a member of the Board of Directors of Chevron Oil before taking office. She even had an oil tanker named after her.
Recently, George Bush had a bunch of "Alternaive fuel" vehicles on the White House lawn. He is trying to get America to switch over to Flex-Fuel Vehicles, which run on gasoline as well as Ethanol.
So, I predict that Bush will force new policy mandating that a certain percentage of all government vehicles will convert to Flex-Fuel, and that he will pass new policy to help American citizens convert as well. What's more, I predict that He will invest tons of his wealth into Flex-Fuel. Since he is President, he will be damn sure to make new laws and policy before he leave office. But the new laws and policy will benifit his investments even if it doesn't benfit America. He is a SELFISH bastard and he will prove that again and again before he leave office

No. I don't anticipate any changes for the better. As far as the war in Iraq, he faces a lot of dissention and acts like a spoiled little brat throwing a tantrum. He comes across as "My way or the highway", never wanting to listen to anyone who tries to advise him. So I can't wait until we get someone capable in the White House.

If Scooter Libby is sentenced to jail time Bush will change that with a pardon, the two border patrol agents in jail for shooting a drug runner in the butt while illegally crossing our border, will be pardoned by Bush. and if one could wish for a miracle he would change the delusional way the democrats think we should fight the war on terror

For six months I've been predicting (on this very forum) that Bush would invade Iran in the spring of 2007. All he needs to do is have his handlers come up with a viable excuse that the 'ditto heads' will "buy" ('weapons of mass destruction won't work; that's already been tried). Once he can create that plausibility, he will attack Iran for the very same insipid reasons he attacked Iraq: OIL and WAR PROFITS. -RKO- 04/22/07

Unlikely. Democrats have control of congress. He has control of the executive. Bush doesn't listen to anyone who disagrees with him, and the democrats need to show they have a spine.
So what we have now is what I call the ideal situation. A government that can't do anything.
Bush is now a lame duck President.

Maybe Dorothy's scarecrow will share his brain.
I think the lack of cooperation from Congress has set he stage. The President will push what he thinks is best for the USA & veto what he does not think is good for country.
He has never used his veto but I think this will change thanks to Pelosi & Reid being power hungry.
Iran & North Korea will choose whether there is a war.
Harry Reid will not decide when a war is lost.
