Even now, aren't we being attacked with skills and weapons that we provided Iran and Iraq in the 80's?
So much for learning from history?

I give it 5 years, maybe 7. It took Osama Bin Laden around 7-9 years.I think with the other Arab states thrown in with Iraq it will be less this time.

There are plenty of documented instances where Iraqi soldiers have used the weapons we gave them just recently against US troops! They also use them to arm their own private militias to fight whatever sect they're against (Sunni vs. Shia)

Here's the great irony of trying to train and arm Iraq to stand up for itself:

1) We can't give them weapons that too powerful that they'll hurt us, yet even if these guys really wanted to fight "for Iraq" they don't have the firepower they need.
2) We're totally arming their own civil war - they care MUCH more for revenge than defending their country - they don't give a rat's patootie about the concept of a country they never wanted or believed in.

they are already doing it...what are you speaking approximately. the US or the present president would not see the genuine photograph. while the war first all started, he replaced into completely against placing apart the country into 3 sections. Now, interior the previous few days, they have replaced their plans from that coverage to incredibly development partitions to cut up the three religious communities from one yet another. the US is providing the police, and militia with training and weapons, and a few of them have already became those weapons and coaching on the US.

You need to have more faith in liberty and self determination. The people of Iraq, if given a fighting chance will be dangerous to any tyrant in the area. Once other countries in the Middle East see a successful democratic style government they will want it too.

We need not fear, Iran and Syria need to fear.

Sorry pal!
They're already doing that! And they have been doing that for years and that's why things are going in the direction of even more of a colossal failure on the part of this Republican Administration and supported by right wing Republicans.

You are absolutely correct. I have been saying the same thing for years. When we leave the Iraqis join with their enemies the Iranians to wage Jihad against us.

They are apparently learning little. So I wouldn't worry about it. It seems Bush might be concerned that they will do exactly what you suggested. If so it gives credence to the conspiracy theory that Bush is smarter than he seems.

It's a never ending cycle - The enemy of my enemy is my friend, until he becomes my enemy, then his enemy is my friend, etc.. ad nauseam.
