while its nice you care about your daughter think about her life and how to make it better and try not to dwell on the negative so much. there is lots to do in life -- ask your gramps if you need ideas.
perhaps the best choice is not to get so burdoned in the whole world of materialism -- all world theologies preach against materialism for a good reason.
if you were obessed with your own death that would be a sign of depression. depression is usually brought on by people that can't think outside of themselves. i wouldn't worry too much -- i think you are just being a little overly concerned for you your daughters well-being.
maybe its time to have a picnic with her or visit a museum and have lunch. quality time is very important.

You're not strange for asking this. I feel that we're all given life for a reason. Yes, it has its ups and downs and yes it may end tomorrow or 100 years from now. The trick is to enjoy it every step of the way. Your Pepe has lived for many years and is the perfect example of how everyone should be living life--with joy! Don't get me wrong, life is not something we should take for granted where we drive wrecklessly or indulge in things that can take us a step closer to death. Instead, life is about enjoying the time you have with your loved ones, trying to help others, being happy and spreading that joy with others, and trying to make the world a better place. Life is worth every struggle. You should make the time you have with your loved ones the best you can and show your daughter how wonderful life can be. And when she gets to Pepe's age, she can also drive around happily knowing she has lived a wonderful life.

Don't think about your own death, or even anyone else's.
For one, you've obviously got family, who I'm sure would miss you if you were gone. That's one reason to live.
Second of all, life is about making a difference. You have a child. That's a HUGE difference right there.
Let's say she makes it big, and becomes a multi-millionaire. She might donate to some company who sends medicine to a smaller, less bountiful country. She would have a hand in saving dozens if not hundreds if not THOUSANDS of lives! That's making a difference. But making a difference doesn't have to be something big. It could simply be (as nick@nite says) you having dinner with your family, giving them guidence so that THEY can make a difference.
If you made some good memories with the people you love, or those that love you, then it doesn't matter if your gone. People will always remember you.
I'm only 13, but THAT'S why I live. In the hope that I will make a difference and change lives.
And I know I'm going to be famous one day, and I know that I'll be remembered, just like Spielberg will be. Using your gifts to leave memories.

Life is worth it. Make the most of your life at any age. Knowing that it will end one day is what makes life so precious. You have to cherish every moment because you never know when your time will come. Don't be preoccupied with death. Just live your life. Enjoy the beauty & the happiness each day has to offer. Your grandpa has the right idea. He's not worrying about it. He's just having a good time & so should you! You're young & don't have to worry about it for a very long time.
I rarely think about it. I hope I will go peacefully in my sleep at an old age...

Life is always worth living no matter the end. The end is nothing dramatic - it is death, and we have no control over it. But life is something we control, therefore we should make the very best of it while we have it, so that when death does come, we won't feel bad to have lost any oppurtunities. I'm very sorry people did that to your grandmother. Religion in my opinion tends to make death into a scarier thing than it should be. Know this - no matter what you believe, as long as you have lived your life in full and done the best you could, nothing bad can happen. Know that as long as you've lived as a good person, and done the best you could, nothing bad can happen to you once you die. We all secretly fear death. It may be that fear that helped us create the idea of religion, so that we may look forward to it rather than dread it - and maybe religion is real and we CAN, and whether you want to believe in Summerland, or Reincarnation, or even heaven, that may help you, but its not a requirement. Whatever it is, death is not at this moment. As long as youre concious, that moment should be far from your mind; I know its hard - sometimes counseling can help - but don't let people pressure you in religion for something that is perfectly nature - you believe what you WANT to , and have faith in just being human and happy and alive.

Nonny death is indeed the inevitable end to life. What we do until then is the important part. You should smile when you look at your daughter and think of the all the great things you did and will do together. Same with pepe, he's probably lived through some amazing events. Our over-all goal is to leave Earth better than we found it. That means by raising families, working our jobs, and developing greater technologies to increase survival. Happiness is what we should strive for....sounds like you could spend a little more of your time trying to focus on that.

wow... what a heated question. well i think that if there wasn't a reason to live a life then ours wouldn't have started in the first palce. Anywho i think that life is there not to just postpone the inevidable, but rather to see what you will do when the inevidable is staring you right in the eyes. I mean sure, you and your daugter and your pepe are all gonna die someday, but that someday can always be tommorow, so what are you gonna do with today. Are you gonna sit on your *** and think about the next day, or are you going to live with what youve got and live ir up? I am not trying to sound mean, and the way youre thinking is totally normal, but i think that you should keep thinking of life as having an experation date, but instead of making that your excuse to be sad, make that your excuse to be happy ya know?
be safe and have a great life!!
Carpe Diem!

Thinking that way is not strange at all I think people go through many phazes of thought in this life and I believe its good to explore as many of them as you can. What makes you so sure that when you die you'll actualy be dead and not just move onto a better existance? What makes you so sure that just because life is comparibly short to some things that you're life is meaningless? The universe has a way of remembering things in some way shape or form and if all that I am is a memory in this universe I say thats better then never having been at all. I just hope to bring joy to as many as I can without hurting others in the process. Hope is a big part of happyness and if you have lost some of your hope might I suggest you make searching for it important. With a lil Wisdom and lil hope you can move mountains the wisdom will give you the knowledge to know what mountain to move and the hope gives you the power to move it.

A good book, has a beginning and an end and it is worth reading. You want your life to be like a good book. You want good memories. You should not work so hard that you don't take time to smell the roses and enjoy life. You want to touch peoples lives, and for them to be happy they knew you, and that the world has been blessed by you. Then, when your time is finally up, you will have known you lived your life to the fullest.
You don't know what happens after you die. Maybe it's the start of a new book!

The Bible Says : "It's Appointed Unto Man once to die, after that The Judgement!" There is nothing to dread or fear, providing YOU know and Have accepted JESUS! The moment life leaves your body, You are with Him in Heaven. Once, you are there , You would never long to come back , no matter how much earthy things you have achieved! Just remember, Material things do not feed the soul! It sounds like your Grandpa has already made his peace with GOD, and probably looking forward to seeing Him! OUR TRUE HAPPINESS IS IN GOD> And "YES" It will all be worth it, if you LIVE FOR JESUS> You will have a new life and ALSO new Body IN HEAVEN!
