Never thought about spraying a whole truck, it would be unique to say the least!
The "gun" that is used is nothing more than a siphon sprayer with a fan spray, the same gun used for undercoating. You should be able to purchase one where you buy your liner material. Make sure you tape off real good, and even back-tape in the door panels, and hood/fenderwell joints. That stuff is kinda messy!

besiides a spray gun you will need a compressor. I still like the fiberglass bed liners rather then spray especially with a older truck. The bed liner can be resold or put in another vehicle and they last forever. The spray stuff, although good on a newer truck is not transferable to your next truck and they cost about the same. I have seen used bed liners on Craig's list. As for the sprayer.. Any decent parts store can help you.. Napa, Autozone, Advance etc.

I checked this out for a customer of mine that used his truck for hunting and was quoted a price of $3500.00 and he did not do it.
I have seen trucks in my area that have been done and they really look bad after a couple of years.
Using the roller method, the do it yourself way has to be the worst idea that you can think of.
If you don't have any background on painting a vehicle, like preparing the surface I would say that when you are finished it might look okay for the first six months then it will likely fall off, also removing that stuff is next to impossible to remove but it can be done if you have a lot of money.

I have used the brush/roll on bedliner, which is available at most parts stores. Make sure you apply this in a well ventilated area, however, as it is very "fumey."
As for the spray on stuff, better call LineX or Rhino liner!
