a friend had a $60,000.00 warrent 4 cashing 2 $2,000.00 dollar checks at a bank the checks were bad her mother paid the bank. she turned herself in and goes to court monday she's never been arrested before do u think she'll get time if so how much

If this is her first time, she will more than likely get probation. BUT, I can't guarantee it because what she did was a DELIBERATE act. So, the judge may not be so kind. And, since this is a felon, it will reflect badly on her record and she may have a difficult time getting a job. Why did she do such a dumb thing??? Just pray for your friend and leave it in God's hand. She has already done the deed, so there is nothing you can do, but see what happens.

Stealing $4000 is a felony in most states.
I'd guess a first time offender would probably get a year in prison

A lot more Time than for killing somebody , They will
throw the book at you for stealing money a life does not
mean much in this country today. George Bush's actions
causes peoples death everyday.
