My ex gf was totally whacked out. She lied like it was her job, said she wasn't sure who she really was, or had a low sense of self. She would lie to my face, and disappear all the time. Only to text me or email me explaing why she was dumping me this time. She would tell me to meet her somewhere and then text me saying she was gone. Then she would start crying and freaking out and run away. She would then come back a few days later every time. The girl lives with her parents at 30 years old, and her mother and brother show signs of mental illness...Do you think she is mentally ill as well? what could it be? What type of mental illness could this be??

I think you suffer from it too for putting up with any of it.
She is lying and manipulating you for who knows what reason and you are letting her. For your own sanity walk away from this relationship. It is not a healthy one.

Hard to say, but I once had a former cooworker (who had dropped byour company to say hi) who was bipolar and hadn't been treated for it. The change in his personality (he was extremely agitated and somewhat aggressive) was astounding. He believe he got some medication for it.

Sounds like she is mentally ill. There isn't much you can do except advise her to get help. You won't be able to have any kind of relationship with her.

she may have a mental illness very unstable so I think you are better off finding someone that makes you happy and not stress you out it could make you lose it too

I would agree with you...only being diagnosed appropriate will prove out, but I'm guessing she may be bi-polar. Good luck!
