We just need someone competent, regardless of their sex or color. Like most of the country, I can't wait 'til Bush is done!

A woman running for President would have a fairly good in today's environment. A Black woman, other than Condi Rice, would have little chance because of the bigotry that still exists in parts of the country. Condi, as a Republican, and with her high level of visibility could probably make it in the red states in the South and Mid-West. She would also be able to get some of the traditional Black and female Democrat votes.

No, we are not. We never will be.

We ARE ready for a President of African ancestry, or a President who happens to be a woman.

There is a big difference.

I will never vote for anyone that puts anything ahead of their patriotism

I know that's not what you meant, but too often it IS what the candidate thinks, whether it is their race, gender, or political party.

It's one of the reasons it took so long for a Catholic President.

We are all United States Citizens. Some of us forget that for another ideology.

Sure, it is possible but not with the current set of candidates.

Senator Clinton & Senator Obama are extremely liberal politicians and no matter how hard they try to hide that fact (or their allies in the national media) it will come out.

If a candidate has a real vision, unwaivering values and demonstrated leadership abilities they can win.

Thankfully neither of these two candidates have any of these qualities.

On top of this, the U.S. literally couldn't afford the policies of Clinton & Obama.

There you go, more info than you even asked for.....

It's not about what sex or race the candidate is; it's about how well they're going to do the job.

Hillary Clinton is our future. Mr. Obama is a good candidate, but he doesn't have the creditability or the experience that Mrs. Clinton does.

All I know is that the woman has my vote, and she's not the official candidate yet.

You would actually be better served by seeing how this question has been asked on numerous threads, but just to give you my opinion..... It depends on the qualifications of the individual nominated. In my opinion neither of the candidates that have announced that qualify under these conditions have any reasonable qualifications for the job.

Our Nation is on the verge of total economic collapse. I'd say we are doomed. A Black President means Black rule (Don't kid yourself). Anybody who wants to see how Whites fare under Black rule should see what is happening in Zimbabwe. It is being kept as quiet as possible, but there is wholesale slaughter of Whites going on everyday and all of their farms that their forefathers carved out of the wilderness have been stolen by Pres. Mugabe and given to people whose skin is Black.

Talk about all the damage white male presidents have done in protecting and making white men richer. Then write about how blacks and women are more humanitarian and can marshall all of the talent to help others.

Think of a woman President as your 'mother'.
The US really needs a 'mommy' to get it out of the mess it is in now.
Didn't your mother 'fix everything' when you were little?

Inreality01. (above) Boy, you are in for a surprise!
