Why do you even change wet ones?

Yes, this may not mean every single time they pee just a little, but if the diaper is Wet it should be changed because the excess moisture and the ammonia in the urine will cause a rash/ skin irritation that not only will be uncomfortable and cause excess crying, it could potentially become infected from bacteria that is in that general area. This would not be fun for the child or for you to have to deal with

Your not serious are you? An infants skin is very sensitive and being left in their wet diapers causes rashes. You really need to change your newborn about 10 -12 times a day and make sure and use a wipes even when its just pee.

It's a little different for babies than for adults, so I think some of these answers were a bit ridiculous. The diaper absorbs a lot of the urine and keeps it from the baby, so they often don't even feel that wet. But you should still change it periodically to prevent irritation. I change my kids' diapers about every 4 hours, but immediately when they've pooped.

The number one reason to change wet diapers is to prevent diaper rash. Diaper rash can be annoying not only for the baby, but also for you because it can cause them to resist diaper changes due to discomfort.

Of course, you need to change a wet diaper! Not changing a diaper may lead to discomfort or rashes.

because if you do not change a wet diaper it can cause baby diaper rash and it is ok to wait until like 20 minutes to change it,

Have you heard of a little thing called diaper rash??? A diaper can only hold so much.. change your kid's diaper when they are went or have a BM.
