me and a group of my friends are gettin together for my birthday on may 19. im thinkin about takin the train from south bend, In. to downtown chicago. we would be leavin around noon and returnin that night, i believe the last train is around 9 or 10. the group consist of all high school aged teens. what are some places that will be fun and exciting to go to or things to do? i already know of navy pier....any other ideas?? please and thank u :)

head over to wicker Park and do a little shopping/sightseeing/windowshopping/eating. There are some good inexpensive restaurants there (I recommend the Pontiac cafe - a converted gas station that sells burgers, etc. with an outdoor patio). Granted there are a lot of bars there and you probaby won't be able to get in (the drinking age is 21), but there's enough other stuff there to do. There are coffee shops (there's one that has a live DJ I believe), music stores, clothes stores, a great huge pizza place (called Piece), etc. You can catch the Blue Line el train downtown and ride it to the Damen stop (ask a CTA agent if you're unsure). You might like it.

You're in luck - that weekend is Great Chicago Places & Spaces. There are tons of tours of the city and they're all free!

I think you should go to Joliet IL and go to Justice just for girls it is awesome there you could have your birthday there
