Check your credit reports, all three of them, if they (debts)don't appear in these, they don't exist as far as the rest of the world is concerned.

Depending on where you live you can access up to 1 free credit report each your. You go to annualcreditreport.com and there you can check your report of all 3 agencies. If you do have an open collection it will show up on Your equfax report most likely.

If you have to ask here, you probably don't.

You can tell because your phone isn't ringing.

If you really want to, you can get a credit report, but if no one is hounding you, I'd say it's a waste of money.
