An acquired taste is an appreciation for a food or beverage that is unlikely to be enjoyed, in part or in full, by a person who has not had substantial exposure to it, usually because of some unfamiliar aspect of the food or beverage, including a strong or strange odor, taste, or appearance. The process of “acquiring” a taste involves consuming a food or beverage in the hope of learning to enjoy it. In most cases, this introductory period is considered worthwhile, as many of the world's delicacies are considered to be acquired tastes.

Exactly what is says. You have to acquire a taste for it. For example: tea or coffee is an acquired taste. Meaning it may take a while before you like it. It comes with time to acquire the taste.
Hope that helped.

Means it doesn't taste good right away, you have to work at it, you have to "acquire" a taste for it. An example would be beer. It would taste bitter the first time you tried it, but once you acquire a taste for it, there's nothing like a cold beer on a hot day.
This expression is not just limited to food or drink. Certain music can also be an acquired taste. For example, I have not yet acquired a taste for rap music.

It means that almost everyone dislikes it at first, but after awhile it grows on you. Here is a big for instance,
Most children (Not all) do not like the taste of mustard at first. Gradually it becomes more acceptable to your palate as you mature.
It can also mean a activity. American football migh not interest someone, or baseball. But after a few times watching it and learning the rules they may enjoy it more. They have acquired a taste for it.

IT means that they get to know the taste because they have been through many experineces involving it. When you have an acquired taste for something, that means that you have learned of it because of your numerous encounters with it in the past

It means that it really tastes bad at first. But the longer you are around other snooty people that eat it, you start to believe that it tastes good too.... .... then you have "acquired" a taste for the stuff that used to taste like poo poo to you .... its kinda like office politics when the *** kisser thinks all is smelling like roses when the reality of the situation is more akin to smelling like poo poo.

Means it's not something that absolutely everyone loves -- it takes some getting used to. E.g., the taste of coffee, most kids don't like it, but then gradually most of them come to like it.
The phrase may or may not be a euphemism for something that's generally considered unpleasant.
