What will I need to fix Honda 400 that I ran out of oil?

It was 1 1/2 quart low when shifted to 2nd it is grinding & ratteling. My dad says I have to fix it. Please help .

You're probably better off hopping on ebay and looking for a used engine for that vehicle. I've priced them for my camry at only a couple hundred dollars. Otherwise you're looking at two days work taking apart the engine, replacing the piston rings and cylinder heads at a minimum.

fill it up with more oil,unless you ruin it.
