Hi, I bought a house on ebay for $510 and I'm not sure what to do with it. Should I just not pay? I really dont want negative feedback and this might be a money making opportunity, but I'm not sure. It's in Donora,PA about 40 minutes out of Pittsburgh and I'm in Ohio. If anyone with any knowledge on flipping could give me an answer that would be great.

Thanks for the answers. I know that there are $4200 back taxes owed and I dont think the seller meant to sell the house so cheaply. There was another bidder that retracted. I'm pretty sure the lot is included, it states as much in the auction.

I was planning just putting it up for sale again. Would I still be responsible for those environmental issues?

I'm really suspicious about what you just bought. Let me point out two MAJOR traps, then see if you like my suggestion.

One is the possibility that you bought the house, but not the land, and have to move it, and if you don't move it within a set period of time, you're liable to the landowner for damages, which may be well beyond the price you paid.

The other is that if you bought the land, it may have an environmental problem that the government pins on the current owner that could run into figures so large you wouldn't believe me.

You might want to have a lawyer look at just what you agreed to buy before you decide what to do next.
