First off my condolences on the loss of your grandfather. Secondly, just try to have a understanding of the human lifescycle. One way I did it when i was young (My grandmother died) My grandfather and me sat in a hospital waiting room, and he told me that everyone was going to die someday, everyone in this room! And I really took that to heart, he was right on, were all going to pass away some day. thirdly, remember all the good times you had with him and smile every time you think about them. Good luck to you Hon :)

It takes time!! My grandfather past away two years ago of cancer and I still find myself crying every once in a while. He was in a lot of pain and it was very heart wrenching! It takes time to heal and it will never really go away!! I am sorry for your lose and wish you and your family all the best! I know that right now it seems like the pain will never go away but time heals all wounds! Even though you will always feel this void and always miss him you have to remember all the good memories you have! I still find that I will hear a song or see something that will trigger a memory and I will cry but I know that he is no longer in pain and that eases it some! I will pray for you and your family! God Bless you!

from the minute we are born, we all have a day and an hour when we die.
In the last 6 months, I lost my Aunt and my grandfather, both of whom I was extremely close to. You stop crying by celebrating their lives. Remembering the little things they did with you and the funny experiences you had with them - that's the way to celebrate a great person whom you loved.

That a question no one can really truly answer. I have not lost any grandparents in my lifetime, but my grandmother is 90 and I am extremely close to her. I pray everyday that nothing ever happens to her because I don't know what I would do without her, so I definately know it is going to be hard. I guess I would enjoy all the memories of things you did together. Maybe even make a beautiful scrapbook. I am sorry hun.

I lost my dad 15 years ago, and to this day, I still get some tears. It's just something that will take time. There have been some great ideas here from others. Just, never forget how special he was. Hang in there.

I am so sorry for your loss.
My grandfather was the dearest person in the world to me, and I think I asked myself that same question when he died.
Try to remember all of the good times, and keep him alive in your heart. It is going to hurt for awhile, give yourself time to grieve and don't push yourself to "get over it."

You have to think of all the positive things he did in his life. All die sooner or later and a good life is a gift to you.
