I hate elevators they can get stuck or fall. You will never see an escalator with a sign that says out of order. It would just say escalator temporarily stairs.

Elevators are the worse. You have to wait for them to get to your floor and you better hope no one else gets on going to other floors before yours. Plus, when there are too many people in an elevator, at least one is bound to stink! Escalators and sidewalks are constantly moving. If not too many people on board, you have the option to step faster and get ahead.

Elevators since I'm claustrophobic. Escalators come in a close second, though, because they freak me out when I get to the top or bottom step. I'm always afraid I'll fall on my face.

elevators. i dont hate them they just freak me out... sometimes. i love those moving side walks though! at like airports hehe. escalators are sometimes scary since my aunt had a co-worker whos hair and scalp got caught at the bottom of that thing. she was at the sub way station and it was after news years so tons of people. i like all of them but it gets scary sometimes lol :)
