No.The team did not qualify for ICC WC 2007.

I know that Americans are crazy for baseball and that is perhaps why cricket never could become popular there. However, the same was said about Soccer (the rest of world call it as football) but soccer is gradually becoming a mainstream sports in USA. Perhaps the main reason for the growing popularity of soccer is that is it extremely popular to the immigrant communities from Asia and Europe.

Cricket has the same potential too considering the fact that the number of immigrants from South Asia and the Caribbean islands is growing very fast.
When I was reading an article in India Daily, about the possibility of cricket becoming popular in USA at last, I felt that professional management is needed. Secondly, soccer in USA started to grow after USA hosted World Cup Football in 1994. Now the same is needed for cricket too. If USA can arrange world cup cricket then it would surely change the scenario to some extent.

We are still a long time away from the prospect of USA holding the world cup cricket. However, India is going to play some of its matches in USA in the coming years and that can help. I think that Pakistan and Bangladesh should also consider playing some of their home matches in USA.

i may be wrong on this one, but at one point cricket was popular in the usa. it lost popularity due to the advent of baseball and because traditional test cricket is so time consuming. i believe america does have a national team, but did not qualify for the world cup. i would love to see the us make it to the next wc.
