i can't stand the sound of someone chewing. if i am eating, then i usually cannot hear that person past my own sound, but if they are the only other person in the room and eating, it is like nails on a chalkboard! anyone else?

Yes, I think it's gross, because it sounds gunky and disgusting. They chew so loudly too.

Yes! The worst is when you're at the movies, and it gets silent for a second and all you hear is chewing and wrappers crinkling. Makes me want to run to the nearest exit.
Although I don't know if chewing or gum snapping is worse.

Hmm...You have very acute and sensitive hearing, because I am not annoyed by someone else chewing. However, nails on chalkboard is terrible, I'll admit.

You are not the only one.. me,I dont like the sound of a Potato chip bag being ate out of...nerveracking...aaaggghhh!!! My bf just like the sound of any chewing, he will blast the tv and get on our nerves...lol. So we finally just patiently put the food away. He is a giant @ss

I cannot handle it when people are chewing gum and when they chew it they are badly imitating a cow chewing its cud.Or someone chewing tobacco and they leave their spit in places where others are trying to eat and /or socialize.

I totally feel you on that one. It is the worst thing in the world especially if they can't chew with their mouths closed.
