I can't figure out this problem. any help would be appreciated!

the expression sinx(cotx-cscx) is equivalent to...

SinX(CotX-CscX)

since CotX= Cox X/SinX and CscX=1/Sinx

Then
SinX((CosX/SinX)- (1/SinX))
SinX((CosX -1)/SinX

SinX cancels out and leaves
CosX-1

sinxcotx - sinxcscx =
(sinx)(cotx) = cosx
(sinx)(cscx) =1

=cosx -1
