Yes, penguins have knees.

This is an old chestnut. Penguins, in common with all birds, have a different arrangement of joints in the legs from those in mammals. However, they do have joints equivalent to our knees - the difference is that these joints are much closer to the hip than on mammals.

Yes, of course they have knees. It is analogous to the joint between the so-called leg of a chicken and the thigh. Penguins are birds, and all birds have knees. You might ask the same thing about horses. Their knees are way up high next to their abdomens. Just like in a penguin. And I think Danny DeVito has knees, and he even had them when he played "the Penguin" in the Batman movie, which ever one it was.
P.S. A better question might be, "Do Koala bears have thumbs?" The answer is yes, two on each hand.

No they dont. That's why they walk sort of like side to side. Not sideways but side to side because they dont have knees. To retain their balance, they walk side to side.
PENGUINS DONT HAVE KNEES!!!
