what about rudy? Like the famous football player at notre dame for the fighting irish? He was an inspiration and no one is hardly ever called rudy anymore. It's a nice nickname

come up with something cute that fits him for example my nephew's nickname that i call him is bebble for two reasons
1. when he was little he would stick his but in the air and looked like a beetle but that is what everyone else called him so i called him bebble instead
2. when he was little he liked to eat and had baby rolls and he could not sit up on his but because he would fall over se he looked like the little toys that have the round bottoms and don't fall over
so see find a name that is unique and fits him perfect

I totally think either Dew or Dru. If you want something really simple, but not a very popular name, then i could be X

One question, why do you need a nickname, when that is the babys name?

I would say Dax. Cause it's so far from his own name that when you call him, he will know it is you. I have a nephew named Nakoa (strength in Hawaiian) and I call him Coco. He knows it's me and will always answer with "Yes, Aunty?"

D man, Dee, D and middle initial or last initial. I find nick names just come out when you are playing with them.
