No. Actually it is a sign of release Mentally and physically and spiritually. I believe crying release stress in a person's life. There is nothing wrong with. I believe that it makes you a stronger person by showing your true emotions. I know i cry if i'm hurt or happy. I think people should cry more often they will feel alot better in life.

I used to think that crying was indeed for weak people. But I learned within the past 5 years that rather than punching a wall or closet, a good cry is a great way to release the anger, hate, sadness or what ever you might be holding in.

No, I don't think it is a sign of weakness. You have to allow yourself to release emotions. I think sometimes it is cowardly to hold back the emotions. Besides, crying can make you feel better and after you release those emotions, you can fully concentrate on other things instead of trying to hold back those tears.
Now, when a person uses crying as a tool to get out of responsibility, that is a sign of weakness.

The Sopranos think it is! LoL
Remember (any Sopranos fans) how Tony and the rest reacted to Johnny Sack's crying at his daughter's wedding?
Hmmm, so MAYbe it IS a weakness if one's aiming to be a mobster??
Personally, I try NOT to cry unless it's something really big, like a death, etcetera. Perhaps there's a happy-medium? I'm not against public tears, I guess, but I have this one uncle (probably everyone has someone in the family like this guy) who just BOOHOOS, cries like a school kid, every time we have a funeral. (He's annoying, to tell the truth.)
So? Maybe only a weakness if one's a perpetual, outright wailing boo-hoo-er.

It's an expressing the emotion of weakness part, but one could be still strong after crying. After the negative emotion is released, it can make someone more strong, or it simply allow himself to depart from the tough world for a while.

No. Although I am hypocrital here...I don't cry in front of other people and will not admit it either; I just would rather lick my wounds in private.
But on the reverse side, I have met a few men who did cry very easily or admit to it......and I never saw it as a sign of weakness. For a man to openly cry in front of you is letting you know that he might be very comfortable with you to let his emotions seen in the open. To me it was a sign of strength like someone else said and to admit "yeah..I got feelings too you know !". Strength because it puts them in a vulnerable position..some men and women would consider them as "sissies"..Far from the truth..They are presenting themselves as they are " take it or dumb it".
Kind of strange..because I am one who does not display open feelings very easily in any case anyway..

No. I cry when I am mad - which also makes me mad that I cry. It is just an emotional way to handle by anger.
I cried when my mother died - that wasn't a sign of weakness; it was a sign of coping with grief.

Not necessarily, it could be a build up of tension that physically can not be held back any longer. It is a release of pent up emotions. It not a weakness to be able to feel.

I agree with the poster who wrote it's a way for us to relieve tension, stress and other feelings. I like a good cry now and then. I think it's healthy to allow yourself one every once in a while.
