I know that you're not supposed to take it after 72 hours, but i figured it was worth a shot. My period is usually pretty regular, and right now it's pretty light, which is unusual.

Actually I've been told by Planned Parenthood that Plan B can still be effective for up to 120 hours (or 5 days).

Of course, the longer you wait the less effective it will be though.

According to the Planned Parenthood website, Plan B reduces the risk of pregnancy by 75 percent if started within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. Only two out of 100 will become pregnant after taking combination EC.

It's probably best you take a pregnancy test as soon as you can. Then you will know for sure if it has worked or not for you.

Good luck!

I took plan B like 30 hours after unprotected sex and still got pregnant (I unfortunately had a miscarriage). If I were you I would wait for my period to come, and if it was late I would take a test right away. But try not to stress over it now. plan B can also make your period late, or lighter because of the high dose of hormones. Good Luck!!!

You should definitely take a test. The bleeding you experienced could be implantation bleedieng, especially since you said it was light and came before your period usually does.

You probably pregnant for those who did not take your tablet safely, doubling up at the drugs makes no change. I could consider that your hormonal cycle has been interupted and that can be why your interval has turn out to be abnormal. However i could do a scan besides. that's the one specified approach you could recognize.
