My underarm hair bothers me when it is long. Anti-perspirant can cause it to bunch which can hurt if it sticks to the sides. Just use a hair trimmer or the trimmer feature on most electric shavers to keep it under control.
I suppose if you don't wear anti-perspirant you won't have the discomfort, but no one will want to be around you. A friend of mine forgot his anti-perspirant during a final and everyone wanted to rip his head off (we were being forced to sit near him for 2 hours).

it doesn't bother me at all. most of the girls that i know like it. i personally think it is really cute on a guy.

If it's only a little bit, no. But, if it's like really hairy then that would really gross me out.
