I prefer to get paper because plastic tends to break more easily. Although paper cuts down more trees and plastic is better for the society. Mostly i like to use paper, but most stores now only have plastic so u have to get plastic without a choice.

BOTH because I say so...and they are free. I have worked (brief time) in a store and trust me, people stock up on bags....yes they both can be used and reused....I say "BOTH" & and at the same time....put the paper in the plastic.....it is a very good way to save money......I am NOT worried about hugging a tree...too often anyway they have to double bag the plastic, because of tears.....so "BOTH"

Plastic, and so do the Baggers there too. You should see their sour faces when someone asks for Paper Bags.

Paper, cause trees grow back when cut down. Plastic is made from oil, and once you use it all up, it's gone forever.
