no. The only chance the AFL would have is if the NFL had a large labor dispute years down the line and had a strike for a year or two. I think this will never happen because the NFL has learned from baseball and hockey's mistake, and both sides (players and managers) realize how much a strike would hurt the game.

Nope. Why do you think they play the AFL in the spring? The last time a football league sucessfully challenged the mighty NFL is when the American Football League (AFL) did it in the 60's. This happened at a time when football took a back seat to babseball. The results of that challenge allowed its teams to be merged into the NFL. The league is to big, monied, and powerful to worry about other competitors.

The USFL respresented the last time the NFL faced anything that resembled a formidable challenge to the status quo of the NFL. Everyone else nowadays is considered minor leagues. Don't get me started on the flameout of the XFL. LOL

The NFL has more talented players and is a more exciting game. The AFL will never come close to the popularity of the NFL.

i'm no longer drawn to AFL going worldwide the two. this is our recreation and has greater beneficial than adequate help right here to maintain a wholesome opposition. the reality of this is that possibilities are high you're the two an AFL fan or a soccer fan. Me in my view, an afl fan. I see no think approximately soccer (wow 2 hours of ball enjoying to end in a nil all draw.....what the?) at the same time as the worldwide huge allure of soccer works for them, it is not for the AFL. So in my view i'm happy with the stance the AFL has taken in protecting this great recreation in user-friendly terms Australian. basically one much less recreation the human beings can grip onto and ruin.

Try sitting through an AFL game without thinking about the upcoming NFL season.

No, the NFL is way too popular to be taken over by a league of players who aren't even half as good as them. I believe the AFL is at its peek right now because it is now aired on ESPN but it won't get any popular than it is right now.

As time goes by we'll be able to tell, but the NFL is Americas sport, watched by millions of people, while the AFL obviously is less watched and not too much coverage on TV.

No cause the AFL is so one dimensional. Nearly all the teams run the same types of plays, they never run the ball, scoring is much too easy. Of course it's fun to see big hits, but those get old after a while. To me arena football is just like if you took major league baseball players and had them playing on a Little League field.

I doubt it. The NFL is a juggernaut; it's been around much longer, is much bigger and more established, has much more money and more talented players. The AFL is getting more popular and is doing pretty well, though, but I don't see it surpassing the NFL anytime soon.

No way. At best the AFL may be a farm system for certain positions but even that is a stretch. Arena ball is not even the same game.
