Hi, Ok so I'm coming back from my sister's house and my 1994 Aerostar van starts to overheat. Then it starts to loose power and then it died. So I blew the darn head gasket. Replaced all the gaskets and got the darn thing put back together and wouldn't ya know it, it won't start. =:( Just my luck. It turns over but won't start. Anyone with any ideas? Please help. Came to far to give up now. Thanks everyone.

"Rakel" Thanks for the info, we did do the job ourself and he cleaned the heads really good and looked them over for any cracks. My motor is a 3.0. What are the firing order for those motors? See, he said before he took them off he marked them but when he put them back on it was in a different order than what the book showed. So he went by the book. Any information is helpful. Thanks again.

Did you do this job yourself? If so the firing order on this engine is 1-4-2-5-3-6. Have you verified this to be correct? I'm assuming that your engine is the 4.0L OHV because those are the engines with the kind of issues you describe. Did you leave anything unplugged? Just for your information, those 4.0L OHV engines do have a tendency to crack between the intake and exhaust valves. Did you check the heads closely when it was apart? Did you change the engine oil after the job? Sorry for more questions than answers, but I hope I've provided some information to you which may help you.

Edit: Okay since it is the 3.0L V6, the ignition firing is still the same as the 4.0L. The ignition timing specs. on your vehicle is 10 degrees BTDC +/- 2 degrees. Are you getting spark and fuel? If you are not getting spark, you may have a faulty TFI module (the module on your distributor, just below the cap). Recheck all your electrical connections to make sure you haven't forgotten anything.

There it goes, i think someone answered already.
The firing order of the cylinders is a funny and common mistake.
If the van was running fine before the gasket problem it should not give any problems

Wow you got really unlucky. It must have damaged soemthing else in your engine. sorry i dont know what that could be though.
