Do you mean Roger the dodger? That one who contradicts himself every time he opens his moronic mouth?? The ONLY major League ball player who has EVER been able to decide when and where he will play baseball. It is outrageous that he can wait to see who is successful before he decides which team he wants to join, that he can miss spring training, that he can avoid traveling with the team for away games, that he can dictate when in the season he can join a team. Hopefully retire and spare the fans of his nonsense.
Chow!!

2004 -- NL Cy Young Award winner.
2005 -- NL ERA champion with a career best 1.87 (and remember, this is the best of ROGER CLEMENS' career), and helped the Astros reach the World Series.
2006 -- 2.30 ERA was the best of any starter with >100 IP, though he didn't qualify for the league title.
Clearly, he's not done if he doesn't want to be.
If Clemens has any physical or performance-related failing, it's his endurance or stamina, both in-game and over the course of the season. Last year, he gave himself a four-month schedule. The Astros didn't regret it.
Rocket is one of a kind. I think he'll be back later this year, and could pitch in 2008 and even 2009 if he wants.
Yes, his "will he / won't he / yes / no / maybe" annual waltz is tiresome... but once he puts on the uni, crosses the foul line and climbs the mound, the world is that little bit better.

How can you not look forward to one of the greatest coming back??? I hate it when players leave to soon or are run out of the game. Such as favre. Is favre on the decline?? yes Is favre as good as he once was?? no but y compare him to himself?? He should be judged as are you still one of the top 30 qb's in the league????? which is yes then he should play. Marino was ran out of the game way to soon. He was still one of the top ten when jimmy johnson ran him off. I hate that. Clemons is still a number one starter when he plays he should keep playing for as long as he is. I love to see a player play for the love of the game and for the fans.....because we know he doesnt need the money. Seems to me you guys are tired of hearing about everything unless it has something to do with the redsox or yankees. Enjoy the game!!!!

I think if he really wants to play he should play a full season. I'm sick of him retiring and coming back and saying I'm done then signing with the astros. It gets annoying i think he should just retire for good.

guys a wackjob. all athletes like him are. i really get frustrated when a guy retires and 5 days later he signs with another team.
and another problem is these freakin athletes all together is that they are all WAY overpaid. the people that should be earning their salaries are soldiers risking their lives. anyone making over 2 million dollars a year at the most is being overpaid.
the only reason roger keeps going back and forth like this is because he wants the publicity. that and because he wants to go out and buy another unneccessarily expensive car.

The more attention the media keeps giving him the more he will drag this out.
I lost track of him when he didn't pick a team before spring training.

He loves the media attention as if he was God's gift to baseball.
He needs to report to Spring Training just like everybody else does.
