Your question is phrased in a very proprietary way, and it raises a few of my own questions about your assumptions about these Gnomes purposes in their lives. You say that you "put them out there". This makes it sound like you may have abducted these Gnomes from their homes / purchased them as slaves and forcefully relocated them into your yard? I'm concerned that you view them as "possessions" or "servants" because you say that you "put them out there to" perform a task for you, namely, "peep through my neighbors windows".

As to your question, I believe that interventions are a sign that you are an important part of other peoples lives. If you were not important and cared about, they would not be attempting to help you with an intervention.
