I`m trying to get a DSL connection through my router and sbc modem. when I follow all instructions I have no light on my router power. It says no router detected? ( liniksys)

Sounds like either you dont have the router power plugged in or the router is bad.

Try resetting the breaker on the outlet you have the router plugged into. If that dosent work either the power pack of the router is bad, or it's the router.

If POWER led light will not lit up then definitely there is something wrong with the router or router's adapter.

If you have no power light, either you need to connect it to mains or there is a fault with it or its power supply.

try hooking it in again & check all the cables r properly put together if not try the reset button
