My husband says that men wear watches on their left wrist and women wear them on the right. I always thought it had to do with which hand is dominant.

I put it on the non-dominant hand, that way you don't dump your coffee in your lap when someone asks you what time it is.

Whichever is acceptable. Dominant wrist is preferable.

Some customs say that if you are married men or women you wear on the right wrist, or if single always wear on the left wrist.

Wear it whereever you are most comforable, but generally speaking people where it on their left wrist if the are right handed and the right wrist if they are left handed. Or, you can always go for one of those old fashioned pocket watches!!!

I think most people wear their watch on the opposite wrist of the hand they favor. e.g. Right handed people wear their watches on the left wrist.
This reduces watch wear and interference due to it being on the secondary appendage.

Yeh, most people wear it on the so-called "non-dominant" wrist. This allows for more ease when pressing buttons, turning dials, etc...and not dumping coffee on yourself, like she said.

there is no right or wrong way to wear it. I am left handed and wear mine on the right. It gets in my way when I write if I wear it on the left. I grew up thinking that you wore it on the hand opposite that you write.

but it is personal preference.
