Definitely add the salt - these fish should be in brackish tanks. Use rounded gravel, because they like to burrow, they're filter feeders, so give finely crushed flakes, pellets that fall apart easily (shrimp pellets), bloodworms, and some brine shrimp for food.

They can be jumpers, so keep in a covered tank. They will grow to be about two feet.

First of all..u need to put lots of salt in the water.. It is a salt water fish, even though it can live in fresh water.

ok my friend worked at a petshop that had one and he told me that a lady who had one went through a lot of tanks because it used to sort of recoil and then lunge towards the glass and smash the tank. I think she ended up getting rid of it. but they are soo beautiful!

i have one and i make sure they have somewhere to go through like a rock with a hole in it. use gravel rock because they like to burrow. i feed mine shrimp brine. put salt in it to what the salt says to put in the tank. make sure your other fish correspond with it.
