I am Irish-American, but I am too ashamed to tell people. I hate Irish people. All they are good for is drinking and they are crappy fighters. It's funny they died from not having enough potatoes. They got the crap beaten out of them by the English and they always whine about it. And they are ugly as hell and I know because I am goofy looking .Too bad England didn't conquer them . I am also French-American, and for obvious reasons i have never mentioned this. I also hate French people because they are cowards and goofy. I am even ashamed to admit I'm American. I never say what my heritage is. I just put question marks.

Funny, LOL (you are "goofy looking"). Well, I also have Irish heritage of which I am very proud. Perhaps you should do a little family history research to discover who your Irish ancestors really were, and what they did. My Grandma is Irish, and she is the most fiesty (but calm), principled, lady of integrity that I know. Her ancestors include: two Irish parents, who "broke ground" in Australia - they were farmers with nine children! A grand-father who was an Irish minister (protestant) of great kindness and integrity. You just need to get to know your own Irish ancestry on a more personal level.

The French are hardly cowards. Look at history. The French are world-renouned for their art and culture. Sure, they are a bit lascivious, but no-one's perfect. If you find out more about your French ancestors, you'll probably discover some beautiful things in them that you can be proud of.

As for Americans, well, sorry I'm a bit biased on this at the moment, thanks to the dishonesty and corruption of George W Bush and cohorts.... but America was founded by courageous spirits who left their comfort zone. You may not be proud of Americans today, but in the past they were a hard-working lot.

I think that is why you should be proud of your heritage.

half of all irish have spanish blood in them, hence the term black irish. The irish have plenty to be proud of i think you just have learned all the stereotypes of Irish and have never learned their history. As far as being French, well dont mention that if your in a debate over who has won more Wars because the French could be conquered by Jamaica. But never be ashamed to be American. This is the greatest country on earth. You were blessed to be born An American. Your heritage is just that, a past that made up your physical characteristics, nothing more. Be grateful and Proud that you are an American! Thats the only heritage you need

i'm irish but i'm good looking most days. We have the claim to the gangs of NY, we have also been beside the Italians in NY mafia. The celts and the woad warriors kicked azz. Woad warriors painted themselves blue to scare the enemy. Today you see many sports teams fans paint themselves blue or yellow. They do that in imitation of our people. We've long had stereotypical respect for our fighting ability, you can't call them crappy fighters. Before Muhammed Ali and Joe Frasier the Irish were the best boxers in early america, back when they fought 20 rounds bare fisted. To stereotype us as cowards is ridiculous.

England had a big empire, so does US, few could defeat them. That is about industry and money, not about the people.

French are good people, many positive and negative stereotypes. The french resistance was famous, they were behind enemy lines, operating right in front of the nazis. That takes courage. Truth be told they invested heavily on a system of forts before the war. Germany just went around them and walked past thier defenses because the defenses were all built in the sides of mountains. Napolean was french and considered one of the few people who almost conqured the world. History is divided on Napoleans worth but we now point to him as the father of liberty, (that's why we got a statue of liberty from them, to help us create a land truly for the people) one of the first liberators to at least claim he wanted freedom for the people or peasents.

Usually when people tell you bad things it's because if they bring you down you'll drop out and then they get the position, treasures or whatever. Don't givethem the satisfaction and don't let anyone tell you who you are. These are all stereotypes. And i don't think you are a stereotype, you seem smarter than that.

Well i am Mexican American and I am proud of my hertitage despite all the stuff I could complain about some Mexicans. Then again not all Mexicans are the same so maybe you shouldn't stereotype the French or Irish. Every culture has its good and bad. Why not try looking at the good instead of just the bad??

And if its that confusing for you just put "White". Cuz white comes from Europe

I have a feeling that you do not respect the parents and family that raised you. To classify all irish and french people as bad means you are generalizing and realy don't know a lot of people from either background. I'm of irish and german background and while I don't wear it on my sleeve I am proud of what some of my family has done in the past.

Back in the early 1900's people would have cared, but no one gives a cow's behind anymore. Quit whining. My boyfriend is half Irish half German, and he brags about his Irish side to everyone. He loves being Irish. Either way you are white regardless, you don't have to worry abour racism.

Don't let your heritage define you - It's good to know your roots, but its not them that make you who you are, but the way you behave, and the impression you leave on others should define you. Behave in a way that makes you proud of yourself, just because you're you.

that's one hell of a stereotype, i know there are great productive Irish folk out there, i think you should love your heritage, but you can't make someone do something they don't want to do.

I'm Irish. Have you ever been there? I couldn't care less what you think of us and I hope you're making this nonsense up.
