Both are great batsmen and it's tough to compare between these two. Lara....his performance is little better than Sachin because he played more winning innings than Tendulkar. If you see their own record then Sachin is ahead. I think, overall Lara is couple of steps ahead of Sachin.
It is the Lara greatness.. he told Sachin is God and better.
Is there any comment from Sachin On Lara.., even on Lara-retirement. What it shows......

Sachin Tendulkar is a remarkable player, but I will have to choose Brian Charles Lara. Brian is way ahead of Sachin, he is more developed as a batsman. I live in Trinidad and it a confusing time for us here. since he is resigning from cricket after these matches. But he is a legend. However, i would travel any where to get Tendulkar's autograph.

Brian Lara-he performed in a crap team so tension became on him consistently. yet, he performed under pressure brilliantly by counter-attacking and enjoying huge innings. subsequently his strike fee of 60 and his 9 200's. additionally, lara's known is deflated by his form of no longer outs-8. If he had yet another 17 or so greater no longer outs his known could experience Tendulkar's. Tendulkar meanwhile, performed with a much greater helpful team which coated Dravid,Laxman,Ganguly,Kumble,Habhajan and Sehwag.additionally, Tendulkar became no longer as aggresive as Lara and has purely made 4 200's to Lara's 9.

For guys who support Lara. Lara himself says Tendulkar is God and he is mortal. One of the greatest bowlers of all time, Dennis Lillee said that he would ball to Tendulkar with a helmet. What more do you need?? Lara is great but Tendulkar is best.

You mean Tendulkar? My choice would be Lara, for his unparalleled ability to destroy any bowler and to contribute (read: save/win a game) when the chips are down. You wouldn't find a batsman who could take on Murli on his home turf and score 700 odd runs in 3 matches. He might not make a good captain, but definitely a great batsman.
PS: What do you mean by complete package?

It is very difficult to distinguish between them as Lara is best in test cricket whereas Tendulkar is best in ODI. However taking the consideration of records set by both of them, I consider Sachin Tendulkar as the best.
