Can you grow an onion plant/ bush from a seriously sprouting onion?

Yes definitely Just plant it in rich loose sunny soil and it will grow!

Yes, plant it so the green sprouts are above the dirt.

However, you won't get more onions out of it. You may increase the size of the current onion, and you may eat the green leaves, but you won't get more onions. It will die in the fall when it gets cold. When all the leaves have turned brown and dry, you need to dig it up and dry it a bit before eating. If you leave it in the ground, it'll likely rot.

You can plant the onion but it will not form much of a bulb. It will go to see. It will put up a large straight stalk with a flower on top.

Plant it green side up.

It may divide, or it may not. SOme onions.like the vidalia, need specific conditions to grow. Which is why they only come from Vidalia county.

don't see why not! go on, you know it makes sense - give it a go! they have nice flowers when they grow!
