RFK was killed in California on his way to the podium to announce he had just won the California primary. Assisinated by a man named Sirhan Sirhan who was captured at the scene. Yes, it is wierd - the Kennedy family has certainly been cursed. In addition to being killed, they had a severely retarded sister and Ted Kennedy drove off a bridge in Mass once - he survived but the woman with him died. He also has a son who had cancer as a child and had a leg amputated. Another cousin is in jail in Ct. for a murder he committed as a teenager but he isnt exactly a Kennedy - he is the nephew of Ethel Kennedy RFT's widow. And another cousin was tried for rape and acquitted. Carolyn Kennedy Schlossberg is very much alive, married with 3 children. Jackie Kennedy Onassis died several years ago of colon cancer. Another Kennedy is Maria Shriver Schwartzeneger - wife of Arnold and a first cousin to Caroline. She is doing just fine too. Pax - C.

No,Robert Kennedy did not become President but was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan on June 5, 1968 after his victory in the California primary and would be heading to the Democratic National Convention as a definite contender for the nomination. But this unfortunately did not occur.Yes it is weird how so many of them died and it almost looks like a curse of power.

Predictable for the period: (1960's). Most of the political assasinations which occured during that time were the result of an ugly part of our country rearing it's head. Hope was murdered during that time. The Kennedys, King, Medgar Evers & other political activist who by and large represented change were obliterated by Misoeism and the tenants of that backwards and reactionary camp. It's an old sore which is exemplified by the Civil War still being fought whenever we see the Confederate flag flown. And it's still 2007 waving it's ill will across this land. The answer may be blowing in the wind, but it's a VERY LARGE hurricane, my friend.

wow - you need a history book!

JFK was the only Kennedy who became President. Both he and his brother were assinated by gunshot. Caroline is still alive. His wife, Jackie, died in the mid-90's after a long illness.

They have a big family, so with a family that big the chances increase for more people in it to die. Also-they are much more publicized than others so you always hear about it. My family could go head to head with them...

You know what's really weird? Every last one of my ancestors died, too. Isn't that an odd coincidence? Hundreds of generations and there isn't one left. Spooky.

PS - Isn't illness a "natural cause"?

That would be "dying".

Also, I think RFK was a senator and never became president....someone correct me if I'm wrong!
