I guess it was discovered when a man saw a baby calf sucking on the mothers breast and I guess he was thirsty and decided to try it? uh or just the same way a women does it with her new born child... a farmer or doctor thought animals might have the same characteristics?

We will never know since this was pre-historic: before written records were kept. Almost certainly this discovery, like the secrets of agriculture, was made by women who stayed "home," as the gatherers, while the men were out searching for animals to hunt. The Neolithic Revolution was begun by women.

Back in the days of ancient Sumer or other first agriculture community, people didn't wear much in the way of clothes, so we all knew what those dangly things were.
(Otherwise, somebody would have tried it on a bull, too, and drank whatever came out of its dangly thing.)
But for my money, the prize goes to the first Indian who convinced another Indian to eat a lobster.
"Hey, Crazy Bear, listen! Sitting Duck came over from his tribe for a visit and we convinced him that those nasty shelled things we sometimes drag up from underwater are good to eat! We told him we eat them all the time! Come on and watch, this ought to be good!"
"Look! He's eating it! He likes it!"
"Well, I'll be-- I guess they ARE safe to eat, after all...!"
Don't you think it had to have happened something like this...?
