I'm on level 5 I haven't asked a question yet and I am neither shy nor in it for the points, there are no prizes after all.
I initially started in the Computers and Internet category when I got my computer last August, to learn as much as I could from people who know more about computers than I did, which at 60 years old was zilch.
I learned about recommended Spy-ware, Anti-Virus,Trojans etc. etc. and it was a big help to me and in between I come on here for a bit of fun, there are some really witty folk .
I have yet to think of a question that has not already been asked but when I do I will ask it and in the meantime I answer fun questions and help with serious ones if I think I can help.
I hope this helps you and lets others know that in this case points don't make prizes, not in this game.

I'm not at level 6, only level 5, but I've only asked 2 questions. The only reason I've just asked 2 questions is because I just want answers to questions that I really need answers to.
My first question had to do with my dog having problems chasing my 3 cats and not doing his duty outside all the time.
The second question had to do with my water well.
I haven't had any problems recently that I needed answers for.

I hardly asked any questions before I got to level 6. I figured out rather late in the game that asking was more fun than jonesin' points.

Asking questions, puts you in a vulnerable posistion,or can if you chose to look at it that way,its almost like exposing your self, and all the while hoping others will be accepting of you for this.Thats one theory, then there is always the guy or gal who thinks they"know all""tell all" type of thing,Its truley not wanting others to catch a glimpse into who you really are. Then there are others who may not have a thought provoking question and or think they do,and chose not to be ridiculed,as the audience here can be a bit tough to please at times. You really have to be able to accept criticism,in life in general, but ecspecially on YQ&A,or you could be come discouraged and just want to give it up entirley(or for at least an hour!!)

Maybe they just don' t have any legitimate questions to ask. I'm at level 6 and I haven't asked many at all. I have more fun answering.

Well I guess you've looked at my profile too. I don't ask too many questions. I like to answer questions not ask.
