i'm not pregnant (that i know of, anyway)...but i'm a planner and since we are now trying, of course i have a ton of questions.

we live in a small space, and will live here for a few years before buying a larger place. i need good crib brand suggestions and/or where you purchased them.

we need an actual crib. as much as i would love the one that pulls up next to our bed, we have a cat that loves to sleep in our bed...i need something that will be kitty-free.

thanks!

I found my son's furniture on ebay. They have a large selection of brand new furniture for much less than you would pay at a store. I suggest a convertible crib that grows with them. Also, once you find a crib, be sure to look up customer reviews someplace like amazon.com. That really helped me make my decision.

I've got this one http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3540610

The bed changes into a toddler bed when the time comes. It comes with a matching 4-drawer dresser and a changing table. You do have to put it together, but it's actually pretty easy. Plus, you don't have to worry about finding matching furniture for the nursery!

if you want a good value for the money get a convertible crib...yes they cost more than a regular crib..but they can use it for life. my sister bought one for my neice as a baby and shes now 16 and still has it. so i have bought one for all of my kids, its a crib, then a toddler bed, then a daybed, then a fullsize bed.....all you have to do is buy mattresses

We got ours from JCPenney http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X3.aspx?DeptID=42249&CatID=42330&cmCatLevel=3&CmCatId=42249

It turns into about a billion different beds, so its a piece of furniture that can be used for years.

Go on craigslist.org - you can find anything for a baby there. Cheap.
