Jimmy "the Weisel" Frattiano claimed that Giancana (the then Boss of Bosses out of Chicago) gave the go ahead for Marcello (of New Orleans) to carry out the assassination. It involved Castro (who had a grudge after finding out the CIA was behind the Bay of Pigs Invastion) so he got a patsy (Oswald) from the Russians to carry-out the deed. Marcello's beef was a result of RFK's investigations into organized crime. To cover the link to the Mafia, Marcello had Jack Ruby (a two bit night club owner in the Marcello organization) take out Oswald to seal his lips.

Giancana's beef with JFK was his impression that JFK renigged on promises to leave the Mafia alone since he felt he pulled strings in Chicago to get him elected.

Several weeks before the assassination, Oswald met with Cuban agents in Mexico. For inexplicable reasons, the FBI agents who were following up the Cuban connection as a part of the Warren Commission investigation, were recalled

Its been proven pretty conclusively by now that Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK. Like that clown at Virginia Tech and countless others, he found it easier to do something violent rather than face the difficult work of building a meaningful life for himself.

Oswald appears to have set a personal goal for himself of becoming a Communist James Bond. After killing the president, he was free for only an hour or so but he was probably going to make his way to Cuba and shop his resume around to Communist intelligence services.

That was his warped way of looking at things.

I should add that there was some bungling in the handling of the investigation. If any of it was deliberate, it was the result of bureaucratic squabbles.

One excellent reason goes back into ancient times!!! Cheating on ones spouse!

Next time you see the video take a real good look at the angles of his body each time he's being shot! The wife's purse in her lap is one of those angles..... "The unknown bullet"??? Something very simplistic like that would be far more consistant with "human nature". Not to mention there was a multi billionaire waiting in the wings for her.

Others are greed, corruption, power & wealth, pick one! I'm sure there were many people that were very interested in seeing him dead, for many reasons.

a racist...someone who was really prejudiced because of all the civil rights and supporting integration that was led by JFK. A person who would want to kill JFK had those attributes against him.

To provide an example, it's the same reason people always say the movie "Titanic" sucks. The fact is, it is actually one of the best movies of all time, and so was JFK in terms of presidency. Someone just wanted to be the "outcast", or go against popular belief.

There are so many theories, so that's not the problem. Lee Harvey Oswald was a wackadoodle who wanted to change the history of our country. Ruby was another nut case. Sirhan Sirhan is another crazy person who wanted to change the history of this country. He shot Robert F. Kennedy. Consider Lynette "Squeaky" Fromm, who almost shot Gerald Ford. "What are you so excited about? It didn't go off!" Squeaky is fortunate that she lives in a civilized country.

The ones I can think of are his supporting African American rights (and he wouldn't have been the first activist to be killed) and even his involvement in Vietnam, although let's admit it - unless a journal shows up in a trunk we might never know for sure.

Probably the best theory out there is that the mafia did it.
He was sleeping with a mafia boss's girlfriend at the same time as the boss.
Also, his brother, RFK was going after the mafia and Jimmy Hoffa. It was retaliation.

1. He was elected because of mob help and then when he became president he and his brother attack the mob.
2. He was an advocate for African American rights
there are many other reasons too, look it up
